3傳教士傳奇 台大特展展出

（中央社記者陳至中台北1日電）台灣大學和吳尊賢基金會，今天起舉辦「教育、奉獻、愛—3位傳教士的福爾摩沙傳奇」特展，展出馬偕、葉由根、錫質平的生平故事。

特展今天在台大尊賢館展開，預計展出至12月。主辦單位指出，3位傳教士冒著生命危險，千里迢迢來到台灣，以奉獻、博愛的精神，為台灣的教育立下典範。

馬偕1872年來台宣教30年，可以說是台灣西式教育的開創者，同時致力於鼓勵女子受教育，他「寧願焚毀，不願鏽壞」的座右銘，至今仍影響著台灣社會。

錫質平1953年到台東服務，一手創辦的「公東高工」，被視為後山技職傳奇，至今仍是台東地區首屈一指的職校，扭轉了許多弱勢學子的命運。

葉由根則是1955年抵達台灣，先後創辦聖家貧民醫院、新竹仁愛啟智中心、華光智能發展中心等，開啟台灣重視啟智教育的先河。

台大副校長張慶瑞表示，傳教士們以奉獻和愛，跨越人類社會的界線和障礙，毫無保留的付出讓人動容。1030301
