在2013年6月中時M-BENZ為進一步提升美國市場的銷售數量，欲在墨西哥規劃一座新廠房來生產新車。由於此方案是針對都會車款而來，因此擁有相關技術合作的INFINITI更成為M-BENZ遊說共同投資新廠房的目標。現在有消息指出RENAULT-NISSAN與DAIMLER集團這計畫已經初步達成共識。
